If you are interested in attending the 31st Annual Pre-Med Conference at UT Southwestern - Medical School on Saturday, November 17th 7:30AM – 3:15PM, email me ASAP. The conference is free and registration deadline is November 10.  The schedule and registration details are on the flyer that is attached to this email and Meeting Minutes. If we receive a set amount of interested members, BHA-Exec will try to coordinate transportation to Dallas.

Kate Henderson, the VP and COO of University Medical Center at Brackenridge will be coming to talk about the healthcare industry and the future of medicine. This will be an exciting opportunity to network with a top industry professional and ask questions! 

The meeting will be held at 6pm in GSB 3.130 on Tuesday, February 28th.

I hope everyone is adjusting back to school life! Get ready for more fun BHA events this semester!
 
BHA's first meeting will be Tuesday, January 31st at 6pm in UTC 1.116! There will be food and drinks, of course. Also, we SHOULD have our tshirts by then (for qualified members). Come eat and hear about the exciting things we have in store this semester!

Just a reminder we are having our next general meeting this Tuesday at 6 PM in the UTC 1.116. Our guest speaker is Dr. Ziad Haydar,  the VP of Clinical Excellence and Physician Integration at Ascension Health. This is going to be an exciting presentation so come ask questions, learn, and eat delicious food!

- Anand Tamirisa will be competing in a pagent for Hope Africa on November 12th at 6:00pm. Come watch him show his "talent" and strut his stuff in evening wear! The event raises money for Manhyia Hospital in Ghana, providing quality health care to its surrounding low-income neighborhoods. The more audience members we have supporting him, the more likely he is to win. I'm going to be making some signs and taking lots of pictures.
